There aren't any Thanksgiving movies.

Halloween 2020 is almost over, and that means Thanksgiving is just around the corner.

But unlike Halloween and Christmas, which both have lots of movies centered around them, there aren't that many Thanksgiving movies. The only one I can think of is Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Thanksgiving movies are an untapped market.

There's A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.

And, uh. Addams Family Values?

i googled "thanksgiving movies" and found a rotten tomatoes top 20 list, so there are clearly enough thanksgiving movies that rotten tomatoes finds 20 of them enjoyable.

feel like thanksgiving is a really good sitcom episode holiday, not so much movie holiday. christmas hits a lot of the same notes as thanksgiving does but with a lot more pizzazz and sentimentality so if you're setting a movie around christmas instead you can do a lot more with it.

planes trains and automobiles is a fun time though

I really wanna see Alice's Restaurant sometime, at least to see how it could possibly improve on the song.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Thanksgiving in the TV series world is always a hit. There will never be another king of thanksgiving though. There can only be one.
