For the first time in 50 years, It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Christmas won't air on ABC. Instead, the Peanuts specials will be exclusive to Apple TV+.

This is just another case of a company locking a beloved IP behind a paywall. AT&T did it with Sesame Street.

^Sesame Street still sends new episodes to PBS, just not until a little while after HBO. And that was done to preserve the show's production budget; the Peanuts specials don't have a production budget anymore.

My family has been shoving the peanut specials down my throat for like 2 decades. I say let them go. Take claymation christmas movies with ya

i've definitely told them that before lol. it doesn't stop it from appearing on the television.

Just because something you don't like is on television doesn't mean others don't like it. All you need to do is vote with your feet and tell them "no" then not watch them. Are they forcing you to?

It's just on at parties dude, in the background. It's not a big deal. I just change the channel to football usually. More party friendly. They're a sucker for those peanuts though. I'll never understand it. Usually not my house it's my parent's house and my dad is on the same wavelength as me. BIG BLUE.
