Personally, it doesn't have anything that interests me.

I guess there's going to be a billion streaming services. When is there going to be a real competitor to YouTube? It seems like Netflix is going to have a fight on its hands but YouTube basically has the market cornered for its specific video content type, and I think we definitely need a proper alternative.

the silver lining of youtube having such a monopoly on video sharing is that its the only one copyright handlers give a **** about. there's so much stuff you can watch on dailymotion that would never fly on youtube, and that's actually a big selling point for a lot of people.

peacock seems to have a pretty weak line-up, i gotta admit. the only thing here of any interest to me is apparently an animated series of the adventure zone?? i had no idea that was even a thing in production but there it is.

Peacock is eventually going to be the entire Universal catalog. They're mitigating the weak launch library by offering the service free (with ads).

The name is kinda stupid but I mean their logo is a peacock lol.

i dunno how often i'll use peacock but i definitely am cool with one of these finally being a "free with ads" model. i miss the original hulu where all the new episodes of stuff were free with ads and then if you wanted to stream older stuff you could pay extra. that's how i kept up with like every show in high school because i could never watch stuff live, and it was way better going to one site instead of having to go to every channel's individual site.

I got it when they offered it free to Internet customers. Haven't bothered with it yet except to set it up. Didn't even realize there were ads, but it makes sense. I wouldn't pay for it or pay to upgrade to ad-free.
