HBO Max launch thread.
HBO Max launched today.
Here's a look at everything that's available right now: https://play.hbomax.com/page/urn:hbo:pa ... serProfile
I spent all day watching shows on HBO Max. While I'm disappointed by the lack of old Cartoon Network shows, there's still MORE than enough content to keep me happy.
Just a heads-up, HBO Max is not available on Roku or FireStick at the moment, and does not support 4K or HDR.
Did you get HBO Max today? Are you interested?

No, I'm not interested. I mostly just like watching gaming-related stuff so I watch a lot of YouTube.

I don't see how this can compete with Netflix. I got Peacock because Comcast offered it for free, so I guess that is good for me for now.

^It's gonna be Warner's version of D+; that's how it competes.

Oh yeah I think I got free D+ for a year with my internet service. I should look into that.

Re: HBO Max launch thread.
Why does HBO have three separate streaming services and what is the difference and why should I care? All the questions I have.

Re: HBO Max launch thread.
^Gotcha covered:
HBO Go is just a free app that lets you watch your already-subscribed-through-cable-or-satellite HBO subscription as a live stream on other devices.
HBO Now is a standalone streaming service with on-demand viewing.
HBO Max is the better version of Now, with expanded content from the WarnerMedia library & new originals.
Why you should care:
If you don't have cable/satellite (or you don't like watching live-streams on your devices), there is no reason to care about Go.
If you have never been interested in subscribing to HBO, there is no reason to care about Now.
If you don't mind all Warner-owned content vanishing from other streaming services, there is no reason to care about Max.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
