Disney's streaming service launched today. Here's a video of all the stuff that's available day 1:
Did you subscribe? What are you watching?

Nope. Once my life settles down I'll probably assess what services I want to subscribe to. I think this is one of them??

I continue to be disappointed that the Aladdin TV series is not on the service.

^^^It's literally everything Disney owns (or, it will be eventually) that isn't R-rated, including Marvel, Lucasfilm, NatGeo, Fox,....
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

No Pepper Ann? No Nightmare Ned? No Weekenders? No Adventures in Wonderland? No Proud Family?

I'll pass on giving Disney money to reward them for monopolizing the industry

I'm doing the seven-day trial but I'm gonna cancel it today.

^^^Not everything's up yet. Anything that had an existing streaming contract with Netflix, for example, has to wait until that expires. Plus, it's glitchy as hell right now.
^^Honestly, if all the major parent companies did something like D+, for the same price, it would be great. I'd probably sub to all of them, & it would still cost less than cable. But when you have stuff like Time Warner doing I don't even know how many separate streams (DC Universe, TCM, WarnerMedia, et cet), that's just too much.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

If my roommate decides to buy it I'll probably watch The Simpsons in the wrong aspect ratio.
Otherwise I really don't have interest

Disney+ is using the FX remasters for their Simpsons episodes, which crop out about 25% of the screen to fit into a 16:9 aspect ratio. Not only do the episodes look unnaturally zoomed in, but sometimes it actually crops out visual gags and other information.

Disney will be taking my money. I really liked the first episode of the Mandalorian, and the rest of the entire catalog there is going to appeal to the other members of my household.
