I've never played a Professor Layton game, which platforms are they available on and which one is the best to start out with?

@Artemis009 the first 4 are on DS and the latter 3 are on 3DS (most recent on mobile as well). Some of the older ones might be available on eshop but I'm not certain? Anyway the series is basically 2 trilogies - original trilogy and then a prequel trilogy - and now the latest installment is after the original trilogy featuring a new protagonist.
It's a wonderful beautiful flawless series.
Also, and this is old news at this point, RIP Flora yet again.

in this case you are probably safe because googling 'Layton cheesecake' turns up results that are, decidedly, not what Val was going for here.
