What are some things to expect from the Fox merger in terms of Marvel content?

Speaking of looking bored and disinterested, Captain Marvel's actress nailed that in every image and trailer I saw.

^Fox currently holds the film rights to both the Fantastic Four and X-Men franchises. With those now going to Disney, Marvel Studios will have access to the whole mutant roster, the F4, Deadpool, & all of their villains (Doom, Galactus, Kang, Mr. Sinister, et cet).
The main trailers for Capt. Marvel weren't great, but the TV spots were excellent. And the character's attitude makes sense in the plot when you actually see the movie.

Probably the only realistic announcement I could care about. They won't do Marvel Zombies or a proper Spider-Man, but these Guardians movies are fun.

a little surprised at the gunn news but not too surprised. i think they announced a couple weeks ago they were still using his script and considering how the cast reacted to the initial firing they probably imagined how poorly it might go if they let anyone else in. if there's one actor in the mcu you wanna keep happy, it's dave bautista. you don't wanna mess with that guy. triple h is gonna learn that the hard way at wrestlemania.

still, wonder how this affects that suicide squad movie he's been connected to

^It doesn't; he's gonna finish that first. SS 2 is due out in 2021, so we'll probably see GotG 3 in 2022.

Official statement from Fox & Disney: The merger completes tonight at 12:02 AM EST.
That will mark the point at which Marvel can begin open discussion of Fantastic Four or X-Men related film adaptations. Feige is already on the record that he's not gonna announce anything big until July, so don't expect any further info until then.

I really would like to see a MCU take on X-Men. Especially one that has nothing to do with Fox's **** of a timeline/whatever you call that. Deadpool can stay, though.

^^Some anti-trust measures were enforced on this: The sale could not include Fox Network (which remains, along with Fox News, as the core of Murdoch's remaining company), and Disney has to sell off Fox Sports within 90 days since they already own ESPN.
Fox was gonna sell anyway; it was just a question of who to, & the prospective buyers were either Disney or Comcast. Between those options, I'd go with Disney.

^Bob Iger is on the record that he's fine with keeping Deadpool R-rated, too.
