^Once in college, I started riffing narration in a Brad Neely voice over Goblet of Fire, & a bunch of my friends got the idea that we should each take one of the films in the series & write a script for it, but then we never actually did it.

And remember, "I'm-a beautiful animal! I'm-a destroyer of worlds! I'm-a Harry ****ing Potter!"

...hmmmm. I watched some of a documentary ('We Are Wizards'), all about the Harry Potter fan community, and the trouble they were running into with WB and all. The details are a little sketchy in my mind----------it was maybe ten years back, plus I was probably really drunk. Brad Neely was in there, and it seemed like he was working on a sequel (if I remember right, 'We Are Wizards' itself was taken from the sequel text). I guess like I don't know.

(EDIT: I'd super love it if Brad Neely would partner with Rifftrax. I mean, for syncing, if nothing else. The Rifftrax app is pretty awesome at syncing. Better than I am at pausing a DVD and MP3 at the same time, anyway.)

22) Drive is one of the most stylish movies I've seen in a long while. Great cast. I would have expected Irene to be more wary of the driver than she was initially, though.

101) He's Just Not that Into You - C-. *Slightly* better than expected.
102) The One & Only Ivan - B-. I was really looking forward to this one. Like, it's not Artemis-Fowl-bad, in fact it's not bad at all, but it's still disappointing. Rockwell & Cranston should've swapped roles, amongst many other changes I'd make.

11. Charlie's Angels (2019) - 3/5

I promise, I watch movies other than Charlie's Angels, but I'm glad I did watch these. I thought this one was just as fun and had the same spirit as the previous two. The theme song for this one isn't as catchy as the first movie though.

23) I watched a classic Bond movie for the first time. My watch of Octopussy was kind of handicapped by the existence of Austin Powers, I think. There's a lot there Mike Meyers was right to poke fun at, and I'm not sure that the franchise wasn't already having a laugh at it's own tropes by this point. Also, I'm used to Bond being really good with the ladies, but in this one it felt more like he and the people around him are just all DTF because why not.

Shout out to Vijay, he was fun. The action scenes were fun and ambitious, kinda like Indiana Jones stuff. I was bored by the movie overall, though. The larger disarmament scheme was a cool idea, but I didn't think the counterfeit treasure scheme tied into it in a compelling way for as much of the story as it dominated. I've also gotten used to 007 movies where the stakes are more personal for Bond.

^Hmmm. That's an interesting take.

I felt like 'Octopussy' was a really personal story for Bond. Like how he was pissed at Trevalyan in 'Goldeneye', and he really wanted to kill the Smiert Spionem jerks in 'Living Daylights'...that moment when he killed the knife-thrower was intense and ice-cold. 'That's for 009.'

I mean, don't mistake me, I can acknowledge a lot of the movie was silly, but that was a good Bond moment..

Don't skip 'For Your Eyes Only'. That's a banger. Most of Roger Moore's Bond flicks were crap, but that one was good. You gotta take what you can get.

I have no idea what sort of relationship Bond had with 009. I might assume all the 00 agents have a fraternal sort of relationship maybe, but I'm not sure. Especially not compared with what you know of his relationship with 006. The most personal thing in Octopussy, I thought, was the backstory between Bond and Octopussy's father.

I don't know either. The movie doesn't tell us. I just assumed Bond and 009 were homies, and Bond wanted revenge for a fallen kamerad if he could get it.

Sure. The movie would have been better served if they had told us is all. Like how at the start of Goldeneye, 006 dies while they're on a mission together and they have banter and shiz and it's Sean Bean.

...I love 'Goldeneye'. It's so good, and there's all the fun video game stuff wrapped around it.

I'm going to watch 'Goldeneye' right now. That was the first Bond I saw in-theatre, and I haven't missed one since.

The theme by Tina Turner is one of my favorites in the series, for sure.

^It's a real good James Bond theme. It's so jazzy and brassy and sleazy and nasty, and Tina sings the hell out of it.

[EDIT: I forgot how awesome the opening sequence in 'Goldeneye' is. Bond's insane breathless run-up, the jump off the dam, the meet-up with Trevalyan, the infiltration, the stand-off with Ourumov and his guys, and the crazy escape at the end...it's like ten action movies all crammed into the first ten minutes. 'Goldeneye' is great, full stop.]

[EDIT2: Also it's the Dame's first turn as M. She's wonderful.]

I love how Ourumov tells his guys to stand down when Bond gets on the motorbike. Just like, "I want to watch you try it, you cheeky SOB."

Ouromov's literally smiling. I kind of think Ourumov wants to see Bond pull it off, or anyone pull it off. It's an unbelievable trick.

...it's a little spooky, rewatching the movie, feeling you've been there, just cuz you played the game a zillion times. Like, seeing the real-live Severnaya facility, after playing it endlessly...it's weird.

So, if I may recommend.

Like, there were two Bond movies in 1983. There was the merely okay official one, 'Octopussy', and then there was the unofficial one, 'Never Say Never Again.' That one was the banger. I mean, it was unofficial, so they couldn't use the Bond theme or much Bond stuff, but they got Sean Connery back. It was the good version of 'Thunderball' that hadn't existed before. Klaus-Maria Brandauer played the bad guy, and the Bond girl in this instance was Kim Basinger. 1983 Kim Basinger, lookin like a million bux. Suffice it to say, it's a heck of a flick.

...Pat Roach has a minor role as a SPECTRE thug. He punches Bond a couple times, thereby helping to establish his weird niche as "the guy who punches the hero". He'd already punched Indy in 'Raiders', around the plane. He'd do it again in 'Temple of Doom' on the conveyor belt. Then he punched Madmartigan in 'Willow' as General Kael, and then he punched Indy on the panzer in 'Last Crusade', only that scene got left on the cutting room floor. Also you can hear him yelling like a lunatic in the background during the Celt attack in 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves'-----presumably there just wasn't time to have him punch Kevin Costner's version of Robin Hood, awesome as that would have been. Good old Pat Roach, man. He was a real puncher of good guys. RIP.

103) The Haunted Mansion - B-. Drastically better than I expected.
104) The New Mutants - B. Good, not great. A better note to end the FoX-Men franchise on than Dark Phoenix was, that's for darn sure.
105) The Addams Family (1991) - A-
106) Noelle - B+

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
