So they're doing a soft corners-rounded-down kid-friendly CGI reboot of 'Blazing Saddles', I guess. With Mel Brooks' consent.
Extry, extry, readallaboutit.
...you know, they used to show a slightly edited version of 'Blazing Saddles' on network tv. All the time.
Like, the only positive I can see of this is that maybe more people will seek out the real movie. It's really good.
[EDIT:...you know, if you want to capture the essence of 'Blazing Saddles', "dog in a cats' world" is so deadassed wrong. It should be "cat in a dogs' world". I mean, it's still stupid, but it's less stupid.
Why are they doing this, again? This is the dumbest idea.
Eww.

Yeah, this basically just looks like a Kung Fu Panda spinoff.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Re: Eww.
I just don't get who this is for. Like, for all that it's an absurdist Mel Brooks flick with the n-word in lots and lots, 'Blazing Saddles' is kind of one of those perfect movies. Like 'Wizard of Oz', or 'North by Northwest'. It dun't need a modern reboot for people to like it.
[EDIT]
[EDIT]
Eat me. The people of Rock Ridge don't get behind Sheriff Bart because they 'embrace diversity'----------they very begrudgingly stop being quite so overtly racist because they need Sheriff Bart. Did the idiots who wrote this article ever watch the movie? Do they not get it?'Blazing Samurai "teaches kids and adults alike that embracing diversity is what truly makes you a hero."

Re: Eww.
Ahahaaaa. They made it. They went through with it, and, instead of screaming and immolating themselves (as anyone sensible would do), they released it to theatres. It's called 'Paws of Fury' now, instead of 'Blazing Samurai', but it's still a bad idea.

Re: Eww.
But why. The eternal question.
'Blazing Saddles' is a really good movie. It might actually be the best movie, the best thing. I'm not remotely joking for oncet ever. It's so good that it migbt be the best.
