'Jack Frost' and 'Jack Frost 2' are about a killer snowman. They aren't at all scary, and are only ever funny by accident.
You want an actual scary snowman, you need to watch that other 'Jack Frost'. You know, the family movie with the CGI snowman voiced by Michael Keaton? I can see kids having nightmares about that thing.
