Today’s episode is admittedly a bit of a selfish one for me, however due to recent events the timing couldn’t have been better! Now, like many Chicago kids in the late 80’s and 90’s, I grew up watching WGN’s Bozo Show every morning at 7am before school, as well as every Sunday until the show’s cancellation in 2001.
Now while he wasn’t the FIRST Bozo Chicago had (that honor belongs to Bob Bell), my guest today was the last Bozo on television...however long before he put on the big red nose and floppy shoes, Joey D’Auria had been seen on television for a little over a decade. From his antics on The Dating Game, to the fiery performances of Dr. Flamo on the Gong Show, up to today, where he’s still working as a prolific voice actor for hit shows including Yo Kai Watch, The Tom & Jerry Show, and the Mr. Men Show.
