Have you seen Flight of the Navigator?
Who are your favourite characters?
What are your favourite soundtracks?
What could have made this film better?

On July 4, 1978, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 12-year-old David Freeman walks through the woods to pick up his 8-year-old brother, Jeff, from a friend's house when he falls into a ravine and is knocked unconscious. When he comes to, eight years have passed and it is now 1986. He has not aged, and his appearance exactly matches his missing child poster. He is reunited with his aged parents and the now 16-year-old Jeff.

I thought this was a good movie at the time. Don't know how well it would hold up if I were to watch it as an adult.
To me, you are the teacher in the Charlie Brown cartoon.

^Speaking for myself, it holds up pretty well. The goofy Pee-Wee Herman stuff occasionally misses the mark, but as a whole the movie's so beautifully shot and loaded with really well-made sci-fi biz. The ship is a fantastic effect----------it's so cool-looking and different.

I remember seeing it & liking it, but it's been a *very* long time, so I don't recall all the details.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

You guys should check it out again. It's pretty rad.

[EDIT: I took a new pass at it recently for the first time in decades, because I didn't want to be some stupid clueless uncle who recommends something offensive or crummy just because he grew up with it. It really is just about as good as I remember, and it still makes 'ET' look like utter crap.
