Have you seen The Emoji Movie?
On a scale of 1 - 10 (10 being awesome), how do you rate this movie?
Which are your favourite emojis?
Gene is an emoji that lives in Textopolis, a digital city inside the phone of his user, a teenager named Alex. He is the son of two meh emojis named Mel and Mary and is able to make multiple expressions despite his parents' upbringing. His parents are hesitant about him going to work, but Gene insists so that he can feel useful. Upon receiving a text from his love interest Addie McCallister, Alex decides to send her an emoji. When Gene is selected, he panics, makes a panicked expression, and wrecks the text center. Gene is called in by Smiler, a smiley emoji and leader of the text center, who concludes that Gene is a "malfunction" and therefore must be deleted. Gene is chased by bots but is rescued by Hi-5, a once-popular emoji who has since lost his fame due to lack of use. He tells Gene that he can be fixed if they find a hacker, and Hi-5 accompanies him so that he can reclaim his fame.

...pretty weak. I might not hate it the way I hate them putrid garden gnome movies, but that certainly doesn't indicate any kind of artistic merit. Being too pathetic to be offensive isn't anything to crow about.
[EDIT: I want to make it clear, incidentally, that there's nothing wrong with liking 'Emoji Movie', or anything else, for that matter. I couldn't judge anyone for liking something I'm not into. I mean, I've got a framed one-sheet of 'Hudson Hawk' hanging up in my teevee room----------I'm not exactly some bastion of culture and good taste, here.

Absolutely not.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I saw it with Burmese subtitles during a watch party in a Facebook group I was in. I liked the cat emoji, didn't like anything else.
2.5/10
Mitchell with Joe Don Baker was better in every way, shape, and form and was better for children than this movie.
