You know like Adventure RPG, Action RPG, etc.
MY personal favorite is Strategy RPG. My favorites are FFT, FFTA, Fire Emblem GBA (it's the only one I've played.) and a few others I can't think of I'm really looking forward to Phantom Brave.

I've always liked action RPGs. Zelda, Secret of Mana, and more recently (for me) Threads of Fate.

Not to say turn-based or ATB battle aren't fun too; it's just that action is more... actiony. The biggest downside to action RPGs though is that you can't really control more than one character at a time, which reduces the strategy part quite a bit.

Strategy, followed by action.

Phantom brave seems good so far. Better than la pucelle anyway.

I don't get this... Why is Zelda classified as an RPG? There are almost no elements in it that would give it that classification. That's not counting Zelda 2, which had EXP and random battles and such.

I guess my favorite RPG styles would be the Chrono Trigger style, with no random battles and no battle screens, and the Mario RPG style, with Timed Hits and other such things. M & L had an awesome combination of RPG and Action.

They all rock. And you forgot MMORPG, because they're more open-ended than platformers.

I like brawler-RPGs, like 'Dynasty Warriors' and 'River City Ransom'.
