Today, Nokia announced its latest addition to the N-Gage game catalog, The Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey. Based on Bethesda Softworks' award-winning role-playing series, The Elder Scrolls, Shadowkey will be developed by TKO Software and Vir2L Studios. Vir2L Studios has already developed two other Elder Scrolls Travels games--The Elder Scrolls Travels: Stormhold and The Elder Scrolls Travels: Dawnstar--for mobile phones.

Like the console Elder Scrolls games, Shadowkey will let players explore a sprawling 3D fantasy world. Playing as one of nine character classes (Assassin, Barbarian, Battlemage, Knight, Nightblade, Rogue, Spellsword, Sorcerer, and Thief), players will set out to find several ancient artifacts known as shadowkeys. As their quest progresses, they will have to fight over 50 different enemies in various locales, including ancient temples, bandit lairs, and monster-infested caverns.

“Fans of the Elder Scrolls series are going to be thrilled with the quality and level of detail that has gone into producing Shadowkey for the N-Gage,” said Pasi Pölönen, Director of Game Publishing, Games Business Unit, Nokia. “It’s great to work with such a dedicated team to bring an exclusive Elder Scrolls storyline that really takes advantage of the power of the N-Gage platform.”

Look for The Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey to arrive in stores sometime in the fourth quarter of 2004.

Seriously! No one cares about the N-GAGE! I want horses, I want jousting, I want two-weapon fighting, I want throwing axes, javelins, pegasi, dragons, gargoyles... not a ****ing N-Gage game!

...oh well. In the glory of Morrowind, I just can't be angry at these guys.

But still, they hit N-Gage low. I wonder if that made a sound. Meh... Bethesda Softworks rules anyway.
