Has anyone beaten AlcohoLavos's hidden form yet? It keeps using "soberize" on me and killing my whole team. Maybe I should take the Beer Belt off? Does that determine the amount of damage taken from soberizing attacks or something?

If you have one, you can equip the Alcohol Syringe with one of your party members. It cuts damage done to your BAL (blood alcohol level) in half, so that that person would be able to survive the attack. The syringe also slowly increases your BAL, though you also risk a higher chance of getting alcohol poisoning if you equip it. I'd equip this with Alco, because if you do, he can use the "Buy a Round" tech to get your party drunk and ready to fight again.

EDIT: As for the Beer Belt, I've never used it that much. It doesn't hurt to leave it on, but I've never found it necessary. The Alcohol Syringe works WAY better.

For AlcohoLavos, I just equipped the "BBB"... you know, the Bottomless Bottle of Bud?

It's hard to get though -- you have to have drunk at LEAST 1000 cans of Budweiser before you battle the Budweiser frogs. If you have, though, they'll give you the BBB after you beat them. They ARE much harder, but if you've drunk 1000 beers, I'd say you could take them.
