But I like how, completely coincidentally, he had the same birthday as me.
Uh you choose Ramza's birthday at the beginning of the game...

^I will forever love that.

Anyway, yeah. I liked Ramza. I still hate having to come into this topic, see an argument, then watch it ended with "WYBORN IS ALWAYS WRONG", whereas I do agree with him on a few things.

Nonetheless, back on topic... Ramza was alright. Still never was a fan of Tactics.

Ah. I didn't know that much of the TO crew did FFT as well.

He's also pretty reminiscent of Lans Tartare when he was younger. (Eg when Lans was called "Alphonse") They both have similar personalities and aren't afraid to get themselves branded "Traitor" for their cause.

Gotta credit Ace. :p

What I loved about Ramza was the unique predicament he was in - going against friends and family to do what was right.

I dunno, it was a combination of things about him that appealed to me. I mean, he was soft-spoken without being emo "whatever" like Squall, he was actually a sensible leader without being "Let's Mosey" a la Cloud, and yet, he had a strong sense of justice. I mean, the story of Tactics is basically saying that Delita got all the credit for being some "awesome d00d". Ramza didn't get squat, but he didn't need accolades to drive him - he did it because he knew it was the right thing to do.

ZeldaGirl, play Ogre Battle 64. Just go do it.
Help me out with the best fanfiction ever, Ganondorf Beats Up EVERYONE! You decide who gets beaten!

For the battle-minded and mathematically inclined, there's the Hyrulian War, a revived time-honored tradition!

Sure thing. Now, just let me find a working N64 somewhere, and I'll be good to start...

The story of Tactics was always called "complicated," yet I never had any trouble with it. Not unless I completed half of it, came back two years later, and tried to play the other half.

I always do the same thing with Ramza. Master Squire, master Knight, master Monk, master Geomancer, then retire a Monk with Geomancer skillz.

It was so easy to gain Job Points with Squire skills. You'd just stand in the corner of the map and use "Yell," until you got like four turns in a row.

Because his Brave is so high, Ramza makes an excellent monk.

I enjoy mastering every class, though. :p

That's awesome. And yeah, it sounded like ace was serious.

Yeah I got to level 86 trying to do that in the first chapter. Than when I moved on I got my ass kicked with every random battle because my equipment sucked.

My favorite play through with FFT was getting all the way to Velius with ramza by himself as a geomancer. No abilities whatsoever from any other class. I couldn't get past velius though.

FFT is still my favorite game.

^Velius (Now Belias) is a freaking PAIN IN THE ASS.

I'm still leveling up right now, because I know he's coming up and he is a PAIN IN THE ASS.

And it's okay, though I laughed aloud when I read Ace's post, and your subsequent comment.
